international women's day
Round table
March 8, 2022
round table on the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, March 8, 2022
Combining Francophonie and women's rights, the theme chosen this year will be "Female genius in the arts and literature" For two hours, artists, writers and Caravanes project leaders will have the floor to explore this theme.
In collaboration with the Maison Gabrielle-Roy, structure that supports the Caravane Canada / Manitoba, and the Alliance française du Manitoba, the Caravane des dix mots is organizing this round table in a hybrid format. The Canadian public will have the opportunity to attend the roundtable at an in-person event in Winnipeg at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. For the rest of the world, it will be broadcast live from the YouTube channel of the Caravan of Ten Words then accessible in replay following the event.
The event will also be broadcast on the Western and Northern Canadian Francophonie platform www.webouest.ca
Among the speakers, you will have the pleasure of listening to Marwa El Sahn, Director of the Francophone Activities Center of the Library of Alexandria, and Salmatou Mandou, Cameroonian slam artist. Both carriers of a Caravan project on their territory, they will share their experiences as artists and coordinators of French-speaking cultural projects. Three other exceptional women, Lise Gaboury-Diallo, author; Dominique Reynolds, artist; and LEM, slammer, will join them to share their vision of female genius in arts and literature.
This event is open to everyone! You will have the opportunity to express yourself and ask your questions during the second hour using the YouTube chat. Your questions will be forwarded to the speakers.
Hoping to see many of you, don't hesitate to talk about it around you!
