INTERNATIONAL DAY
WOMEN
March 8, 2022
Combining the Francophonie and women's rights, the theme this year was the
"Feminine Genius in the Arts and Literature". For two hours, artists, writers and Caravanes project leaders took the floor to explore this theme.
In collaboration with the Alliance française du Manitoba and the Caravane des dix mots, we organized this round table in a hybrid format.
The Canadian public gathered around a roundtable during an in-person event in Winnipeg at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. For the rest of the world, this event was broadcast live from the Caravane des dix mots YouTube channel and then available for replay.
CARAVAN OF TEN WORDS
ALL YEAR 2022
Help promote the Francophonie in Manitoba and around the world.
“La Caravane des dix mots” is a cultural project based on sharing the French language and the global Francophonie.
Maison Gabrielle-Roy has been labeled Official Caravanner of the Caravane des dix mots 2022. On this occasion, our organization coordinated activities related to this scheme of international Francophonie: the production of literary works (poetry, slam, tales, songs, etc.) or visual works, writing workshops and poetry/slam evenings (Juste slam, which already exists), production of capsules Video or audio.

SLAM WRITING WORKSHOP
Monthly - 2022
Workshop organized by the Alliance Française du Manitoba, the CCFM and the Maison Gabrielle-Roy.
If you have always wanted to learn the art of writing, this workshop will satisfy your desires! Beginner or initiated, this workshop led by Seream will bring out the poet who is in you.
A prolific author, Seream has been deploying his words and his vision of the world through a multitude of artistic forms since 1995. More broadly, he works to make heard, a living, combative, free, uninhibited contemporary poetry, an antidote to precious and high-sounding poetry. Seream changes the language throughout the pages, leaving plenty of room for black humor and derision, under a cascade of puns, neologisms, alliterations and other inventions.
